About the event
SpeakFire! began over ten years ago as an event series focused on the Black LGBTQIA experience. With captivating conversations featuring local Black LGBTQIA voices, SpeakFire courageously explored topics like spirituality, freedom and pleasure in our community. We are excited to revitalize this necessary space.
First up: a conversation about resilience, legacy and art with featured panelists Kotic Couture @koticcouture, Amber August @amberxaugust and Kenneth Something @kennethpoetry. Moderated by our executive director, Jabari Lyles @itsjabarii. Sounds provided by Seven @soundsbyseven.
This event is made possible with generous funding from the Black Arts District @officialblackartsdistrict.
